Tolfa is easily accessible from Rome by car or public transportation. By car, take the Aurelia state road or the A12 motorway, exit at Civitavecchia, and then continue on the provincial road 3a (SP3a).
By public transportation, get off the regional train at Civitavecchia and take a Cotral bus from the station directly to the village.
The Borgo della Rocca di Frangipane can be reached by taking Via di Frangipane, which is a LEZ (limited emission zone) access point. Guests staying at the Agriturismo can be provided with a permit to access and park in the LEZ area (LEZ = ZTL Zona a Traffico Limitato in italian). Other nearby parking options are in Piazza Matteotti and at the beginning of Via Frangipane, currently costing €2.00 per day, or in Via del Forno, which is free.
From Tolfa it’s also easy to reach some beautiful seaside resorts on the Roman coast, such as Santa Marinella, Santa Severa, Tarquinia, and Cerveteri.
